Inspiring Caring for Others
Recently, I came across Tim Elmore's blog post "Five Shifts We Must Make According to Harvard" and thought of sharing it with you. In it, Tim shared a report released from the project “Making Caring Common” at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. The report describes how college admissions can play an important part in motivating high school students to contribute to their communities, in ways that are far more authentic and meaningful. The report then goes further to provide clear-cut suggestions on how to reshape the admissions process so that the assessment of these young people’s contributions may be done more accurately and meaningfully. In his post, Tim shared his five observations he made about the shifts the Harvard Report recommends. As a leader and/or parent, read on to develop your team and/or children to be more caring and responsible to their communities.
