Muhammad Ali – A Leader in Times of Discrimination

I was a young boy, growing into a teenager, when Muhammad Ali began his career boxing as Cassius Clay. His boxing style, his motor mouth, his convictions made all Americans and the whole world sit up and pay attention to this black man that defied all past identities of “Negro boxers.”The best obituary I have read about his life came from the back pages of the Economist Magazine. Most dead people get one page, he got two. Enjoy the read by clicking on the link below about a man, a leader that stood up to the status quo during the tumultuous 60’s in America.  Make your own conclusions about his legacy after reading his obituary.[su_button url="http://www.economist.com/news/obituary/21700356-muhammad-ali-heavyweight-boxer-died-june-3rd-aged-74-greatest" target="blank" background="#0066cc" center="yes"]Read the Muhammad Ali Obituary »[/su_button]
