Emotional Intelligence
Adapted from TTI Success Insights
Emotional intelligence (EQ) is an extremely powerful tool in the hands of the right sales person; or any individual for that fact. Having the ability to understand how those around you are feeling allows you to tailor your sales pitch to strike accord with your audience.
That being said, increasing your EQ isn’t a straight-forward process. Its not going to get better by going to the gym, or reading books. It’s a process that requires constant critical reflexive thought of your own actions, and of others around you. However, to be aware of your own feelings requires a certain degree of mindfulness about your actions. Here’s an article by Dave Clark from over at TTI Insights which has some great tips for improving your mindfulness in all areas of your live.
