57 Varieties of the Best Networking Opportunities by Jennifer Gluckow
Visiting with Sales Guru Jeffrey Gitomer earlier this year, I met Jennifer Gluckow, a very accomplished sales leader herself. Savvy and confident, she exudes the panache of a global leader who builds relationships that are productive and lead to win win in outcomes.
Recently she published a free e-book called the “57 Varieties of the Best Networking Opportunities” that is packed with solid and useful ways to boost your networks to build relationships that lead to healthy sales.
Most sales people fail during the first year in sales because:
- They do not become an evangelist for their company’s sales solutions.
- Cannot or will not develop intentional attitudes on making a positive difference in people’s lives through their sales career.
- They sit at their desk in fear, passivity and self-deception hoping a miracle will happen to bring them leads.
- Do not make the laborious effort to till the soil of effective networking that leads to sales relationships
- Do not employ constructive communication skills during networking that generate sales relationship momentum.
I have learned from Jeffrey for years how to sell, now Jennifer guides and teaches us how to network.
The network analogy of a farmer tilling and sowing is interesting. A farmer may till the soil, or cultivate the padi field to produce grains of wheat, corn or rice. Long hours are needed to produce plants that yield a harvest of grain. On the acres of soil grows the plants and all that biomass, only to harvest the seeds, the grain.
Learn from Jennifer how to till the network soil, to grow the plants of relationships that lead to a harvest of seeds that grow into sales.
This e-book is available on Jennifer's Sales in a New York Minute website or you can download a PDF copy of Jennifer Glockow’s e-book at the end of this blog post.
Great sales people enjoy networking, meeting people that can make a difference. May you till rich relational soil this week after reading Jennifer’s e-book!
